For over 70 years, the Parent Instrumental Music Association (PIMA) has helped support the District 90 instrumental music program. Instrumental music at District 90 begins in elementary school with a basic introduction to an instrument through Harmonica Class in 2nd grade and Recorder in 3rd grade. Next, 4th graders are encouraged to choose an instrument and experience their first organized orchestra or band. As students matriculate into middle school, they advance into more challenging musical pieces.

A strong instrumental music program lasts far beyond your child's elementary and middle school years. While learning to master their instruments, students gain self-confidence, discipline, and enjoy the camaraderie of being an integral part of a larger group.

This year we ask you to extend your support of PIMA so that we may continue to provide your children with a top-notch instrumental music education program.

Please support these programs by paying the $25 (per family) PIMA dues via squareup.com. Thank you for your continued support!
